NJRTL Summer Internship Program NJRTL is accepting applications for its summer internship program designed for college students interested in gaining valuable work experience for a career in professional pro-life/pro-family activism. The program will offer two positions for a 10 week internship program during the Summer of 2003. Deadline for applying is May 1, 2003. NJRTL is the state's largest, oldest, and most effective pro-life organization. NJRTL operates an Office of Legislative and Public Affairs, a Political Action Committee, and an Education Foundation. Students selected for the program will have the opportunity to learn skills needed for a full-time, permanent position with a pro-life, non-profit advocacy organization. Assignments will include educational, administrative, and legislative advocacy office projects. The program will offer a variety of assignments that will give a college or graduate student not only a pro-life work experience, but a broader non-profit advocacy employment experience that will translate easily into a number of professional fields. Students currently enrolled at a college or university may apply for the 10 week, full-time summer program (starting and ending dates are flexible). The salary stipend is $3,500. Applications must be received by May 1, 2003. Description: Under supervision and direction, interns will assist staff members coordinate and monitor projects. Interns will also be responsible for various supportive clerical and administrative tasks as assigned by the executive director. Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, organization skills, and word processing skills. Applicants must demonstrate adequate understanding of current pro-life issues.
