2004 NJRTL Education Foundation Scholarship Competition

NJRTL Education Foundation is offering several scholarship prizes in a statewide essay and poster contest. The purpose of the competition is to foster an appreciation for and encourage the study of the pro-life philosophy among New Jersey elementary and high school students. By participating in the contest, young people will grow in their understanding that all human life is precious and deserving of protection.

Three levels of competition are offered; high school, middle school, and elementary school. The essays are judged by the NJRTL Educaction Foundation Scholarship Committee. The entries are judged on originality, content, and style.

Contest Guidelines

High School (grades 9-12)
Topic:  Embryonic stem cell experimentation is unethical and a direct attack on the sanctity of human life.
(750 words or less typewritten)

First Prize:  $500
Second Prize:  $200
Third Prize:  $100

Middle School (grades 5-8)
Topic:  The right to life is necessary for a free society
(500 words or less typewritten)

First Prize:  $200
Second Prize:  S100
Third Prize:  $50

Elementary School (grades K-4)
Poster Contest: Life is a Gift
(poster size must be at least 11" x 17")

First Prize:  $100
Second Prize:  $50
Third Prizee:  $25
